Jihyun Yoon is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with VHC Physician Group- Gastroenterology.

She began her nursing career working part-time as a Certified Nurse Assistant while simultaneously completing her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Health Sciences at James Madison University. She then obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Shenandoah University, graduating in 2015. After years of working at major hospitals in Northern Virginia and DC, she went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Nursing from George Washington University, graduating in 2021. She joined the Virginia Hospital Center team in 2019, where she worked as a nurse in the GI Unit. Jihyun joins the VHC Physician Group with years of nursing experience in geriatric medicine, neurosciences, med surg, oncology, and GI. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventative health, and health promotion.

Jihyun was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She currently resides in Herndon,VA with her husband, two young children, and two dogs. Her interests outside of work include taking walks, trying new restaurants, and watching Netflix shows and movies
