Bradley J. Powers, MD

Dr. Bradley Powers is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician known for his commitment to clinical excellence and patient care.

Dr. Powers earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s in science/business.

During his residency, His clinical training was supplemented by a Certificate of Excellence in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (CE-QUIPS), where he led a Morbidity and Mortality Conference and completed a capstone project on improving follow-up in the resident continuity clinic. Dr. Powers is also engaged in the Point of Care Ultrasound Clinical Pathway, proficiently applying and teaching POCUS techniques in various clinical settings.

Dr. Powers has contributed to multiple quality improvement initiatives, including improving follow-up rates in the internal medicine clinic and managing projects on clinic workflow and resources for underserved populations.

His research experience spans orthopedic surgery topics, with presentations at LSU Medical School Research Day and publications on healthcare utilization and perioperative quality measures.

Dr. Powers is a member of professional organizations including the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association and American College of Cardiology.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Dr. Powers enjoys golf, tennis, pickleball, skiing, and exploring his interest in wine.
