Dr. Margaret Elizabeth Whicker is a board-certified Gynecologic Oncologist at VHC Health, where she provides specialized care in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancers. She is dedicated to advancing the field of gynecologic oncology through both clinical practice and research.
Dr. Whicker earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Spanish Literature from Dartmouth College, graduating magna cum laude in 2008. She pursued her medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine, graduating in 2014. Following medical school, she completed her residency in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Yale New Haven Hospital, where she also served as Administrative Chief Resident. She further specialized with a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Whicker's clinical expertise is complemented by her active involvement in research. She has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on innovative treatments and therapies for gynecologic cancers and has presented her research at prestigious conferences.
From initial surgery to chemotherapy to palliative care, she partners with her patients and their families throughout the course of their cancer care, providing most advanced medical and surgical treatments while prioritizing quality of life and symptom management.
