John Charalambopoulos, MD, MSc is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Orleans and furthered his education by receiving a Master of Science in cancer research from the University of Western Ontario. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College in 2006.
Dr. Charalambopoulos completed his Internal Medicine training at Georgetown University Hospital, where he was honored by the medical students for excellence in teaching with the String of Pearls Award.
Dr. Charalambopoulos is a strong patient advocate that strives to guide patient care through personalized counseling and education. His goal as a physician is to provide compassionate medical care aimed at disease prevention, health care maintenance and improved quality of life.
Dr. Charalambopoulos has been a member of VHC Health Physicians since 2009. Medical Director of VHC Health Physicians - Primary Care Old Town, John Charalambopoulos MD, MSc, thinks that bringing the experience and excellence of VHC Health to Old Town Alexandria important because he is also a member of the Old Town community. He lives only a few blocks from the office and walks his kids to school on his way to work.
