Ali Khan, MD is board-certified in gastroenterology and hepatology with VHC Health Physicians.
Dr. Khan earned his medical degree from Lahore Medical and Dental College in Pakistan and completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West hospitals in New York City. He subsequently pursued specialization in gastroenterology at United Health Services in Binghamton, NY.
Dr. Khan's contributions to the medical field are evident through his numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, focusing on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and outcomes related to gastrointestinal bleeding. He has also co-authored a book chapter on acute chronic liver failure. He has presented at multiple national conferences and holds memberships in key professional organizations, including the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Khan's clinical interests encompass general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and endoscopy.
Beyond his medical practice, he finds joy in music, playing the guitar, and savoring the diverse cuisines of Northern Virginia and Washington DC.
