Hospitalist Services
If you or a loved one are hospitalized at VHC Health, rely on our experienced hospitalists to offer personalized, attentive care — so you can focus on getting better.
What’s a Hospitalist?
A hospitalist is a provider who specializes in caring for you while you stay in the hospital. Hospitalists work exclusively in the hospital environment to provide emergent, comprehensive medical care around the clock.
OB-GYN Hospitalists at VHC Health
Count on our specialized obstetric and gynecology hospitalists to provide consultations, assist with labor and deliveries, surgery and emergency care.
In-Hospital Care
During your inpatient hospital stay, your hospitalist will:
- Answer questions and address your concerns
- Coordinate the care you receive in the hospital
- Connect you with other care team members
- Explain test results
- Help you create a treatment plan and prepare for treatments
- Monitor your condition 24/7
Coordinated Care
You will not see your primary care provider while you are in the hospital. Your PCP trusts your hospitalist to manage your care in the hospital. Your hospitalists will stay in close contact with your primary care provider and other members of your care team. This allows you to have streamlined services from experts who stay up-to-date about your condition, so you reach the best outcome in the hospital and get recommended follow-up care when you leave the facility.
