Your Treatment Plan
Benefit from our comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to care. During your first visit, you'll meet with your radiation oncologist (cancer doctor) and a cancer nurse. Your radiation oncologist may talk to other specialists to determine the best treatment plan. You may also receive other treatments, such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy or surgery.
Feel better, during and after treatment with help from Cancer Support Services staff.
Improved Accuracy for Better Results
You may benefit from AlignRT, a safe, noninvasive way to track your position before and during radiation therapy. To make treatment more accurate, it uses a 3D stereo camera to track the skin and compare it to the ideal position. The system can pause treatment if you move out of the right position. It can even reduce radiation damage to the heart in breast patients when used with the deep inspiration breath hold technique.
With this technology, you will not need a permanent tattoo to mark the spot for radiation therapy.
