Midwifery

Many women choose to receive care from midwives throughout their life and pregnancy journeys. Midwives are specially trained to be primary caregivers to women throughout their routine gynecological care, and also throughout every aspect of pregnancy, from prenatal care to delivery and through postpartum. 

Virginia Hospital Center's Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) are registered nurses who have completed a graduate-level nurse-midwife education. These midwives work alongside our OB/GYN physicians to provide holistic, compassionate, evidence-based care to women.
