VHC Health’s Dr. David Lee Named a Washington Business Journal 2024 Diversity in Business Honoree
Arlington, VA (January 29, 2024) – VHC Health, a community-based health system providing medical services to the Washington, DC metropolitan area, is proud to announce David Lee, MD, a distinguished member of its medical team, has been named a Washington Business Journal 2024 Diversity in Business honoree. Now celebrating its 17th year, this competitive program honors leaders of color from around the region for their achievements in the business community and beyond.

Dr. Lee, a specialist in anesthesiology and the Medical Director of Philanthropy for the VHC Health Foundation, has been an instrumental member of the VHC Health team for more than 30 years, consistently delivering high-quality and compassionate care to his patients. Upon being named a Diversity in Business honoree, Dr. Lee stated, "I greatly appreciate being recognized by the Washington Business Journal among some of our region’s top business leaders. This award is a testament to the collective efforts of our entire healthcare team at VHC Health as we work tirelessly to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for both our patients and our colleagues."
Dr. Lee has received numerous honors in his time at VHC Health, including the distinction of “Top Doctor” from Washingtonian, Virginia Living, and Checkbook Magazines. In addition to his work at VHC Health, Dr. Lee served as Chairman of the Board at the Arlington Free Clinic from 2010-2012 and was a member of the clinic’s Board of Directors from 2006-2012.
The Washington Business Journal's Diversity in Business Awards ceremony will take place on March 21, celebrating the achievements of honorees like Dr. Lee who have demonstrated outstanding leadership within their respective fields.
