The New Graduate Nurse Residency guides you through your first year in healthcare. We’ll mentor and support you as you transition from academia to a professional healthcare setting.

VHC Health's New Graduate Residency program is also ANCC PTAP (American Nurses Credentialing Center – Practice Transition Accreditation Program) certified. The ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP) sets the global standard for residency or fellowship programs that transition registered nurses (RNs) and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) into new practice settings.

VHC continues the proud tradition of promoting professional development of our bedside clinical caregivers. The data is clear, a nurse who obtains specialty certification have better patient outcomes than those who do not. In addition, certification is a requirement to advance up the Clinical Pathway.
