Dr. Pouran Malekzadeh is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona. She graduated Summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She served in AmeriCorps in Austin, Texas prior to starting her medical training. She earned her medical degree at The University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Memphis, Tennessee at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). During her time at UTHSC, the only level I trauma center in all of Memphis, she cared for some of the highest risk obstetric and gynecologic patients throughout the entire state.
Dr. Malekzadeh is dedicated to providing comprehensive patient care. She enjoys educating patients so that they may take charge of their health and pregnancy. Dr. Malekzadeh’s clinical interests include prenatal care, abnormal uterine bleeding, PCOS, contraception management and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Malekzadeh speaks conversational Farsi.
In her free time, Dr. Malekzadeh enjoys jogging, painting, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
