Yvonne is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College in 2002, graduating with Cum Laude honors. She went on to earn a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, graduating in 2014. She also has a degree in East Asian Studies from George Washington University.
Yvonne joins the medical team at VHC Physician Group - OB/GYN with years of experience in women’s healthcare and direct patient care. At Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, she worked as a registered nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit, and later as nurse practitioner at the Women’s Interagency HIV study. She also worked as a clinical research nurse at the Breast Health Center of Hilton Head Hospital in South Carolina.
Yvonne has a particular clinical interest in breast health, family planning, infertility, and healthy pregnancy. She values a non-judgmental, holistic approach to patient care. She sees each patient as an individual, and provides compassionate care with an integrative approach to ensure healthy outcomes. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health, the American Nursing Association, and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.
Outside of work, Yvonne enjoys knitting, reading, cycling, yoga, cooking, and traveling. She lives with her husband and dog in Annandale, VA.
