Natalie Burkhart, MD is board-certified in internal medicine with VHC Health Physicians - Primary Care Shirlington.
Dr. Burkhart is a native of Reston, Virginia and graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After this, she received a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University. She completed her medical education at Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2019, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
After medical school, Dr. Burkhart remained in DC, where she completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital and was selected as Chief Medical Resident for the Georgetown Internal Medicine Residency Program. During her year as Chief Medical Resident, she was also an attending physician at VHC Health's Outpatient Clinic for underserved patients in the Arlington community.
Dr. Burkhart is passionate about women’s primary care with a focus on disease prevention. She also has clinical interest in skin disorders, diabetes prevention, and the treatment of anxiety and depression.
In her free time, Dr. Burkhart loves traveling, hiking, baking, and exploring the DC area food scene.
