Hong Hanh L. Nguyen, DO is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and is a native of Arlington, Virginia. She graduated summa-cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a minor in American History. She completed her medical education at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005, with Sigma Sigma Phi Honors.

Dr. Nguyen returned to the area and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital. She joined VHC Health Physicians - Primary Care Arlington in 2011 with a dedication to wellness and disease prevention and a humanistic approach to health care maintenance for the young adult to the geriatric populations.

Dr. Nguyen is a very good listener - she looks at me when I'm speaking, and she demonstrates that she hears me by nodding or by making statements that indicate she understands. It's truly a two way dialog between us.

Dr. Nguyen is wonderful, as are all the nurses and techs in this office. Dr. Nguyen listens, discusses any concerns with me and we make decisions together. She is really a fantastic physician.

Dr. Nguyen is the best. Thorough, easy to talk to, and very focused on providing recommendations to improve health. Brings up and shares trends (from prior year visits), uses all available data in the VHC system (i.e. Asks about other vistits that occurred over the yr with other PAs/Drs), provides summary comments to lab results quickly, explains medications or options to take/change clearly.

Dr. Nguyen listened to my issues and made helpful decisions about how to proceed. One earlier visit she had tried to guess what I was about to say which made me feel rushed and misunderstood, but this time she was patient and helpful.
