Dr. Raphael joined Northern Virginia Radiology Consultants in July 2006, and currently serves as director of Diagnostic Radiology at NVRC. Dr. Raphael graduated with high honors from Auburn University and went on to medical school at The University of Alabama School of Medicine, graduating with honors. Dr. Raphael completed an internship in Pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC and subsequently a diagnostic radiology residency with chief residency at the George Washington University Hospital. Fellowship training in Abdominal/Pelvic imaging was then performed at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Dr. Raphael has a faculty appointment at the George Washington University Hospital and at Georgetown University Hospital as a clinical assistant professor. He is closely involved with the Georgetown Medical students rotating through the VHC Department of Radiology.

Specialty interests include dynamic MRI imaging of the Pelvic Floor, Body MRI, CT Enterography, CT Colonography, CT Urography, and Pediatric Radiology.
