Pradeep K. Gupta, MD

Dr. Gupta is currently the Chief of the Gastrointestinal Unit at Virginia Hospital Center. Widely recognized for his expertise, Dr. Gupta was named Super doc by the Washington Post & Top doctor by both Washingtonian and Northern Virginia Magazines. Dr. Gupta has also been named America’s Top Gastroenterologist by the Consumers' Research Council of America. Dr. Gupta is Board-Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. The author of numerous articles, abstracts, and a contributor to textbooks, Dr. Gupta is active in various hospital committees at both Virginia Hospital Center and Fairfax Hospital and both Arlington and Fairfax County Medical Societies. Dr. Gupta graduated from the American University (Washington, D.C.) and Howard University School of Medicine where he was the recipient of several awards for academic achievement. He then completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center, where he received the award for outstanding research. He subsequently completed a two-year Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Georgetown University Medical Center. He was then selected as a third-tier Fellow for the highly competitive Fellowship in Therapeutic Endoscopy at Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. Gupta received national recognition as the recipient of the Lawlor Award bestowed by the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) for best paper presented at the annual meeting of the ACG.
