Anthony Chang MD FACC FACP

Anthony Chang, MD, FACC, FAWM specializes in preventative and general cardiology and wilderness and travel medicine. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, clinical cardiac electrophysiology and internal medicine and specializes in the implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators. “The area of electrophysiology combines surgical skills, physics and mathematics in a way that I find fascinating,” he said. “It has created opportunities for us to change the heart’s electrical patterns to significantly improve the quality of life for our patients.”

Dr. Chang earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and pursued his internship and residency in internal medicine at Indiana University Medical Center. He has completed fellowships at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health in cardiology and electrophysiology; at St. Vincent Hospital (location) in electrophysiology; and at Bethesda Naval Hospital in clinical cardiology.

In his free time, Dr. Chang enjoys traveling the world to experience new adventures and cultures.
