Antonio R. Parente, MD

Antonio R. Parente, MD, FACC specializes in general cardiology as well as interventional and non-invasive procedures, including cardiac catheterizations. He is also skilled in the use of echocardiography to diagnose cardiac conditions. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. “The ability to make a major impact in a patient’s quality of life and subsequent life expectancy is what drove me to cardiology,” he said. “My focus is on patient-centered care and advocacy.”

Dr. Parente earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Georgetown University Hospital, where he also completed fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology.

In his free time, Dr. Parente enjoys traveling and experiencing new places and cultures with his wife, who he met in medical school. She is a pediatrician. He is also the Washington Redskins’ official team cardiologist.
