Dahea Kim, MD, FACOG, is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists with VHC Health Physicians - Charlotte S. Benjamin Center for Women's Health.
Dr. Kim graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University with a degree in neuroscience. She then attended University of Virginia School of Medicine. During medical school, Dr. Kim volunteered at Charlottesville Free Clinic and the Remote Area Medical Clinic in Wise, VA. She went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. During Residency, Dr. Kim received a number of awards, including Resident Teacher of the Year and Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. She was also selected to be a member of The Arnold P. Gold Humanism Honor Society for exhibiting outstanding humanism in medicine.
Her professional interests include comprehensive obstetric care, laparoscopic gynecologic surgery, preventative healthcare, and contraceptive counseling. She enjoys forming long lasting relationships with patients and strives to provide patient centered, evidence based medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Kim likes to spend her time hiking, reading, and traveling. She is fluent in English and Korean.
