Gabriel B. Herman, MD

Dr. Herman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and from the Georgetown University School of Medicine where he was Valedictorian Magna Cum Laude, AOA and was the recipient of the Kober Medal, the highest award bestowed upon a medical student. He completed his internship and Internal Medicine residency at Georgetown University Hospital. He then served a two-year Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Herman is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has been in the Practice of Gastroenterology in Northern Virginia since 1979. His special interests include liver diseases and therapeutic biliary endoscopy. Dr. Herman has been active in various committees at both Fairfax and Virginia Hospital Centers.
