Jana Barcelon is a compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner at VHC Health-Primary Care, recognized for her dedication to patient well-being. Her journey in healthcare began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Philippines, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Our Lady of Fatima University, also in the Philippines. Starting as a registered nurse in 2009, Jana gained valuable experience in hospitals in New York, Hawaii and Texas. In 2019, she achieved her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, solidifying her expertise as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to relocating to Virginia in 2022, Jana served at a family practice and urgent care clinic in Killeen, Texas, where she provided compassionate care to pediatric and adult patients. She is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Jana also holds certification as a medical examiner for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Beyond her professional commitments, Jana cherishes time with her family, whether relaxing at home or exploring new destinations and embracing new adventures.
