Dr. Xiying “Michelle” Huang brings a wealth of experience in osteopathic medicine and a passion for comprehensive patient care to VHC Health. She completed her doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she distinguished herself as President of the LECOM Mentoring Club and a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society.
Prior to joining VHC Health, Dr. Huang served as a resident physician at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, specializing in the Osteopathic Recognition Tract. Her commitment to medical education and wellness is evident through her involvement in the residency Wellness Committee and Women in Medicine Committee, where she championed initiatives to support her colleagues and enhance patient care.
Dr. Huang’s journey in healthcare began with a strong academic foundation, earning a bachelor’s degree in molecular toxicology with high distinction from the University of California, Berkeley.
Throughout her career, Dr. Huang has been dedicated to community service and mentorship. She has volunteered extensively, from assisting in clinical settings to mentoring underprivileged students.
Dr. Huang is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Physicians, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional growth and development. She holds a certification in MyCareChoicesTM(ACP) and has outpatient point of care ultrasound training from USC.
Her research contributions include studies on computational toxicology and work in lung cancer detection through canine scent detection.
