Myriam Ferzli, MD, FACOG is a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist with VHC Health Physicians - Charlotte S. Benjamin Center for Women's Health.
Dr. Ferzli attended University of Miami for both her undergraduate and medical degrees. She graduated cum laude with a degree in Microbiology & Immunology in 2005, before obtaining her Doctor of Medicine in 2009. She moved to the Washington DC area in 2009 to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at George Washington University, where she also served as Administrative Chief Resident.
Dr. Ferzli spent the next year as a Graduate Medical Education Fellow at George Washington University’s Master Teacher Leadership Development Program. As a GW University fellow, she received the Allan B. Weingold Leadership and Medical Education Award, and was a member of the Kane King Dodek Obstetrical Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Ferzli then completed a three year fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2017.
While in training, Dr. Ferzli was actively involved in the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as both a member of the Junior Fellow District Advisory Council, and later the DC Section Junior Fellow Chair. She has also had a number of works published in medical journals on the topics of patient communication and labor, cesarean childbirth delivery, and obesity in patients.
Dr. Ferzli joined VHC Health Physicians in 2018. Her approach to patient care emphasizes building a trusting relationship with her patients to better understand her patients’ family goals, and to help safely guide them through one of life’s most important journeys. She is a strong believer in patient education and takes the time during every visit to empower her patients with knowledge.
Dr. Ferzli is a member of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine and the American Medical Association. She is fluent in French, Arabic, and Spanish and is currently accepting new patients.
