Abbe Schickner, DO, is an OB/GYN provider with VHC Health Physicians. Dr. Schickner grew up in Vermont, she received her Bachelor of Science from Connecticut College with a major in Biology and a minor in Mathematics. After college, she conducted research at Weill Cornell Medical College followed by receiving her Doctorate of Osteopathy from the University of New England in Maine.In 2019, Dr. Schickner became an Obstetrics & Gynecology Resident at MedStar Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University. She received the excellence in teaching award from the Georgetown medical students. In her final year of residency, Dr. Schickner was Chief of the Georgetown medical students for OB/GYN.Dr. Schickner chose obstetrics and gynecology to assist women with navigating their many life transitions. She excels at listening to her patients with empathy about each patient’s unique set of circumstances. Dr. Schickner is passionate about empowering her patients by providing them with evidence-based treatment options. Dr. Schickner’s areas of interest include Minimally Invasive Surgery, Comprehensive Obstetric Care, routine Gynecologic care and Family Planning.
