Sonia White, FNP

Sonia White, FNP, joined VHC Health in 2018. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New Mexico and her Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University. She started her nursing career by working in a 51-bed downtown emergency department in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she became the unit director. After relocating to the area, she began working in the cardiac catheterization lab in Arlington, where she has been working for the past 5 years. She has served as a circulating nurse in both electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization procedures, and as a scrub nurse for pacemaker/ICD insertions. Becoming a nurse practitioner was always her intention when starting out in nursing, but working in the Cath Lab environment allowed her the opportunity to join VHC Health Physicians - Cardiology.

Sonia is originally from East Tennessee and currently resides in the DMV area with her husband and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and planning travel. She is currently a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
