Veronica Ortiz, MD is a primary care physician with VHC Health Physicians – Primary Care Old Town.

She went to college at the University of Pennsylvania, before attending medical school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she graduated in 2011. She went on to complete her residency in Family Medicine at Reading Hospital in PA.

Dr. Ortiz has practiced medicine as both a primary care physician and a hospitalist. Following the completion of her residency, she worked at family medicine practice and cared for patients with acute care concerns and developed treatment plans for those managing chronic medical conditions. She spent the next few years as a Hospitalist, where she managed the care of patients in a hospital setting across many specialties.

Dr. Ortiz joined the VHC Health Physicians in 2021. She is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Ortiz conducted a thorough and probative introductory session in a conversational manner that was very reassuring. She talked WITH me, rather than TO me, and I believe that contributed to discovering possibilities of useful improvements in treatment.

Dr. Ortiz deserves a ten, a very good does not reflect the real excellence of the experience. Dr. Ortiz was able to analyze and evaluate latest research regarding pros and cons regarding different meds including what I am taking. Dr. Ortiz communicated this with humanity and empathy, to a risk adverse patient. The consultation met all my goals.
