Elizabeth Brunn, MD, is board-certified in OB-GYN and fellowship trained in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery with VHC Health Physicians - Charlotte S. Benjamin Center for Women's Health.
She originally grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Colgate University with a degree in cellular neuroscience and biology. She earned her medical degree from The George Washington University with a focus on global health and completed her residency at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, Georgetown University. In residency, she was an inaugural member of the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. She also initiated the “Adopt an Expecting Family Holiday Project” at VHC Health which sponsors expecting families in need to provide them with vital baby items during the holiday season. Hundreds of expectant mothers have been sponsored over the years. After residency, she completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, Georgetown University.
Dr. Brunn specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic, robotic, and complex hysteroscopic surgeries. Performing gynecologic surgery using minimally invasive and robotic techniques results in fewer complications, a shorter recovery time and enhanced quality of life for patients. She specializes in Fibroids Endometriosis, and complex hysteroscopy procedures to treat Asherman’s syndrome, polyps, fibroids, and septate uterus. She is devoted in diagnosing and treating various pelvic and vulvar pain disorders.
Dr. Brunn is an Instructor of Clinical Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University Medical Center. She is an active diplomate at the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, fellow at the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, active member at the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and an article reviewer for Journal of Gynecologic Surgery and Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology.
She continues to be active in research and has presented at numerous conferences and published various peer review articles.
Dr. Brunn will provide surgical consultations to patients at our Arlington and South Arlington offices.
