The Reva and Sid Dewberry Cancer Resource Center
Cancer Survivorship & Support
Live better during and after cancer treatment with personalized support and survivorship resources at VHC Health.
After a cancer diagnosis, you may feel overwhelmed about what it means for your future, your relationships and your job. Turn to the Cancer Resource Center at VHC Health for a broad range of free support services for you and your family:
Survivorship
As you complete cancer treatment, you'll benefit from the survivorship program in the Cancer Resource Center. Enjoy free classes, workshops and support groups that focus on:
- Monitoring your health and preventing cancer recurrence
- Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and weight with good nutrition
- Managing side effects of treatment
- Dealing with concerns about sexuality and intimacy
- Addressing your emotions after finishing treatment
Join staff, fellow survivors and new friends to drink tea, share tips, or discuss a good book. Participate in a cooking class together or knit a cozy scarf. You'll also want to attend an annual Survivorship Party for an evening of dinner, celebration and fun with your family and fellow survivors.
