Condition We Treat
Find expert diagnosis and treatment for noncancerous (benign) conditions, such as:
- Enlarged or swollen lymph nodes
- Lipomas, a fatty lump under the skin
- Moles
- Sebaceous cysts, a small bump under the skin from a blocked sebaceous gland
If you receive a cancer diagnosis, feel confident you’ll get comprehensive care. Surgeons at VHC Health have extensive experience treating:
- Skin cancers are abnormal cell growth on the outer layer of the skin
- Squamous cell carcinoma
- Basal cell carcinoma
- Melanoma
- Soft tissue cancer (sarcoma) begins in the body’s supporting tissues, such as fat, muscle, nerves, fibrous tissue and other areas
Diagnosis
Work with experienced doctors who know that skin cancer can look different from one person to another and can spot and diagnose potential problem areas early when they’re most treatable. To diagnose your signs or symptoms, your doctor may do a biopsy (small tissue sample) to check for cancer cells.
Our highly trained surgeons will provide personalized care and treatment for a skin or soft tissue diagnosis. This includes a care plan that meets your goals and needs for treatment.
Treatments & Procedures
After diagnosis, you may need a procedure or surgical treatment. Our surgeons can do certain procedures in our office under local anesthesia, allowing you to return to normal activities the same day.
Most procedures take place in an operating room at VHC Health. Expect the best possible outcome because the Rose Benté Lee Ostapenko Outpatient Oncology Center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer, an American College of Surgeons program for high-quality care.
