Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT®LOUD) is a specialized program for those with Parkinson’s disease that addresses speech and voice dysfunction.
Therapy will be provided by a therapist with a specialty certification in LSVT®LOUD. This training requires intensive study in Parkinson’s specific voice disorders. During your first visit you will be evaluated to assess your communication deficits.
The therapist will provide a progressive exercise program and individualized functional voice training aimed at improving vocal loudness and quality. This treatment is primarily, but not exclusively, for people with Parkinson’s disease and is administered over 16 sessions. Patients are seen four times a week for 45-60 minute one-on-one session over 4 consecutive weeks.
