Lactation Mom VHC health offers lactation support during your inpatient stay, and afterwards for your successful breastfeeding journey.

The VHC Health Lactation services use evidence-based, credible information from professionals with the highest certifications. It is important to teach mothers about their body and give them a good foundation for how breastfeeding works. VHC Health provides our community with amazing inpatient lactation support during their hospital stay.

Breastfeeding Support Groups

VHC Health offers a variety of classes and support groups to make your transition into parenthood easier. Get the support and understanding you need in a nonjudgmental atmosphere for nursing or pumping, enjoy meeting with other families and get encouragement and expertise from an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC®). Join us at a mother and baby support group.

Breast Pump Rentals

You can rent a hospital-grade Medela breast pump from VHC Health for your use at home. The pump's technology can help you get as much breast milk as possible and reduce your time pumping. The pump can be picked up at the Women and Infant Health Administrative Office located in the lobby of the Women and Infant Health building at 1701 N George Mason Drive, Arlington VA.

Most insurance companies offer coverage for breast pump rentals. While VHC Health does not process insurance claims for breast pump rentals and can't guarantee insurance coverage, you may submit your receipt to your insurance to seek reimbursement.
