WDVM: Local Family Raises Money For NICU Cameras
After being in a DC-area Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) without the ability to see their newborn son, new parents Alison and Josh Stern started a fundraiser to give back to NICU families who can’t be near their babies. The AngelEye Camera Campaign has raised $72,000 in 6 weeks, with over 60 donors, including an initial $20,000 match from The Superhero Project. As a recipient of the AngelEye cameras from the Campaign, we are grateful to the Sterns for their support of our Hospital and our patients. Colleen Hughes of Virginia Hospital Center Foundation recently spoke to WDVM about what the cameras will mean for families in VHC’s NICU.
