ANNANDALE, VA — Virginia Hospital Center has opened a new office location on Little River Turnpike in Annandale that will offer primary care, OB/GYN services and physical therapy.
Patients will be able to seek treatment from primary care providers Aida Girma MD and Virginia Wu FNP. OB/GYN services will be available at the Annandale location starting in April, with care provided by Yvonne Pierce MSN, RN, WHNP-BC and an OB/GYN physician.
The new Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group office is at 7611 Little River Turnpike.
"Several of our doctors grew up in that area, so it remains a special place to them, and they are happy to be able to bring VHC's model of patient-centered, quality care to their community," William Anderson, MD, Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group senior vice president, said in a statement.
Having the physical therapy services in the same location at the new Annandale office "gives us the advantage of having real-time communications with primary care physicians, which can mean getting patients on the road to recovery faster and not having to come back for a separate visit," said Sandy Austin, Virginia Hospital Center's Director of Rehabilitation.
Along with the new Annandale office, the Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group has offices across Northern Virginia.
The Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington is a 530,000-square-foot facility that features a nine-story hospital building and 1,100 parking spaces. In 2019, the hospital kicked off a $250 million expansion project.
