VHC Health 'Chemo angel' helped Northern Virginia woman through lymphoma treatment

Three years ago, Paige McLaughlin was diagnosed with lymphoma - what she calls her personal 'D-Day.' During her time receiving treatment at VHC Health, she credits nurse Safiya Abdi with getting her through the toughest time of her life. Paige calls Safiya her "Chemo angel," who went above and beyond to ensure Paige was comfortable and cared for, and they have remained friends ever since. They recently reconnected at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Gala, where Paige raised over $177,000. Hear their incredible story on WJLA.
