Virginia Hospital Center Opens New Physician Group Location in Annandale

Arlington, VA: February 15, 2022 – Virginia Hospital Center (VHC), a community-based hospital providing medical services to the Washington, DC metropolitan area, is excited to announce the opening of its newest Physician Group Office in Annandale. Located at 7611 Little River Turnpike, the Annandale office offers Primary Care, OB/GYN, and Physical Therapy all in one convenient location.

“We are thrilled about the opening of the new VHC Physician Group Office in Annandale,” said William D. Anderson, MD, MHCM, VHC Physician Group Senior Vice President. “Several of our doctors grew up in that area, so it remains a special place to them, and they are happy to be able to bring VHC’s model of patient-centered, quality care to their community.” The opening of this new physician group location allows VHC to further its efforts to provide exceptional medical services to the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Patients will be able to seek treatment from primary care providers Aida Girma, MD and Virginia Wu, FNP. OB/GYN services will be available at the Annandale location starting in April with care provided by Yvonne Pierce, MSN, RN, WHNP-BC, and an OB/GYN physician.

Additionally, physical therapy services are offered on site. “Being in the same location gives us the advantage of having real-time communications with primary care physicians, which can mean getting patients on the road to recovery faster and not having to come back for a separate visit,” says Sandy Austin, OTR/L, VHC’s Director of Rehabilitation. “It’s all about making treatment easy and convenient for our patients.”
