Michael Mistretta Honored in Becker’s Healthcare 2023 Hospital and Health System CIO’s to Know
Arlington, VA (May 1, 2023) – Michael Mistretta, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at VHC Health, was recognized by Becker’s Healthcare as a 2023 Hospital and Health System CIO’s to know. This award recognizes and honors CIOs across the United States who “lead talented teams and are responsible for integrating the latest technologies into their hospitals and health systems, including EHR systems, data management services, cybersecurity software and telehealth services.”
Mr. Mistretta became CIO of VHC Health in 2015 after spending nearly 30 years in the healthcare industry. He has experience with software development, consulting and implementing EHR technology. During his career, he has worked with multiple vendors to develop healthcare solutions including biomedical device integration and point-of-care devices.
Across the VHC Health system, Mike oversees all operations tied to technology, biomed, health records, and innovation with an operating budget of $40 million and a team of more than 140. He connects the health system’s clinical operations through technology and strategy to ensure sustainable outcomes and its ability to meet the ever-changing healthcare needs of the growing communities we serve.
