VHC Health Achieves High Performer Status in the 2023 Association for Healthcare Philanthropy Report on Giving

Arlington, VA (December 11, 2023) –
VHC Health, a community-based health system providing medical services to the Washington, DC metropolitan area, is proud to announce its recognition as a High Performer in the prestigious Association for Healthcare Philanthropy’s (AHP) 2023 Report on Giving. This coveted distinction places VHC Health among the top echelon of healthcare organizations in the United States and Canada.

The Association for Healthcare Philanthropy recognized less than 50 organizations across North America with the High Performer status in 2023. This recognition is reserved for organizations whose philanthropic performance stands in the top 25% of all participants in the Report on Giving survey.

VHC Health President & Chief Executive Officer, Christopher T. Lane, expressed his gratitude and excitement about the achievement, stating, "This recognition is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our entire VHC Health community. We are deeply honored to be acknowledged as a High Performer by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. It underscores our commitment to providing exceptional, accessible healthcare services and highlights the generosity of our community in supporting our mission."

"Being recognized as a High Performer in the 2023 Report on Giving is a reflection of the collaborative efforts between our healthcare professionals, donors, and community partners,” said Anthony Burchard, President of the VHC Health Foundation. “We are incredibly grateful for the continued support that enables us to advance our mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our community."

The AHP's Report on Giving is a comprehensive survey that assesses philanthropic performance across healthcare organizations. High Performers are distinguished by their outstanding achievements in fundraising and community engagement, contributing to the overall success of their healthcare initiatives.

AHP’s Report on Giving is a publication produced for over 35 years that shares information from AHP’s membership on their revenue and expense activities for each fiscal year. In the 2023 Report on Giving (represents data from FY 2022), AHP had 161 respondents from the U.S. and 18 respondents from Canada.
