VHC Health Celebrates Opening of State-of-the-Art Outpatient Pavilion with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Arlington, VA (June 14, 2023) – VHC Health, a community-based health system providing medical services to the Washington, DC metropolitan area, is proud to celebrate the opening of its new Outpatient Pavilion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This milestone event marks an exciting chapter in VHC Health's commitment to delivering exceptional and accessible healthcare services to the region.
Distinguished guests, community leaders, and healthcare professionals gathered to witness this occasion, marking VHC Health’s expansion in outpatient capabilities. The event featured remarks from VHC Health's esteemed leadership, Virginia Senator Barbara Favola, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services Commissioner Nelson Smith, and Arlington County Board Chair Christian Dorsey, as well as a tour of the cutting-edge facility showcasing its advanced medical technology and patient-centered design.

The Outpatient Pavilion houses VHC Health’s outpatient surgery, imaging, pharmacy, lab, endoscopy, and physical therapy. The new facility also has 26,000 square feet solely dedicated to women’s health. Women’s health services at the Outpatient Pavilion provide convenient, accessible care options bundled for a seamless patient experience. Developed by a female-led physician team, the continuum of women health services, from prevention to palliative care, includes obstetrics and gynecology, maternal fetal medicine, women‘s health and wellness (including aging and menopause), genetics, breast health, urology, cardiology, advanced radiologic imaging and vascular diagnostics.
Senator Barbara Favola (D-VA) also expressed her support and enthusiasm for the opening of the Outpatient Pavilion. “VHC Health has embraced this mission,” she said during the ribbon cutting ceremony. “Our outpatient facility will in fact divert individuals from going into emergency care.”
