VHC Health Named a 2023 Best Cancer Hospital by Newsweek
ARLINGTON, VA (July 25, 2023) –
VHC Health, a community-based health system providing exceptional medical services to the Washington, DC metropolitan area, was named a 2023 Best Cancer Hospital by Newsweek, one of 175 hospitals and just three in the Washington, DC metro region to be included in the rankings.
The list was compiled through a mixed methodology consisting of a nationwide online survey of hospital managers and health care professionals, patient surveys, and hospital quality metrics including cancer outcomes, breast cancer screenings, and others.
“If a patient receives a cancer diagnosis, the last thing we want them to worry about is the quality of care they receive,” said Christopher T. Lane, President and CEO of VHC Health. “Our patients know they are receiving top quality care, and we are grateful to be recognized for our dedication to quality, affordable care across our communities.”
This year, oncology and other services offered at VHC Health have expanded. The Outpatient Pavilion, accepting patients for the first time this month, will serve to bolster critically important areas of care including women’s health, surgery, physical therapy and more.
