VHC Health Unveils Charlotte Stump Benjamin Center for Women’s Health at Outpatient Pavilion

Arlington, VA (November 1, 2023) –
VHC Health, a community-based health system providing medical services to the Washington, DC metropolitan area, celebrated the opening of its Charlotte Stump Benjamin Center for Women’s Health on October 30, 2023. Located on the fifth floor of VHC Health’s new Outpatient Pavilion, this 26,000 square foot center will provide much-needed specialized care for women across the region and offer multiple services allowing patients to receive care in one convenient, comfortable setting.

Kelly Orzechowski, MD, FACOG, has been named Chief of Women’s Health Services. In this role, Dr. Orzechowski will facilitate the coordinated care efforts throughout the Center, ensuring patients receive the highest quality of care they have come to expect from VHC Health. “I am honored to lead this cross-disciplinary effort, which has been thoughtfully planned and executed by female physicians across VHC Health,” she said. “When women’s health improves, it also benefits families, children, and the elderly, making our communities stronger and healthier.”

The opening of the Charlotte Stump Benjamin Center for Women’s Health was marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony with key stakeholders from across the region to celebrate this remarkable accomplishment. With remarks from Chris Lane, CEO of VHC Health, Sharon Brickhouse Martin, Vice President, Health Services Integration, Russell McWey, MD, Chair of Board of Directors, Charlotte Stump Benjamin, and Dr. Kelly Orzechowski, Women’s Health Services Chief, the leaders and staff at VHC Health welcomed its first patients to the Center on October 31, 2023.

The Charlotte Stump Benjamin Center for Women’s Health will offer a range of services focused solely on women’s care, from prevention to palliative care, including gynecology, breast health, urogynecology, genetic counseling, and obstetrics and maternal fetal medicine. On adjacent floors, there is primary care, plastic & reconstructive surgery services, women's imaging, cardiology care and other related services.
