VHC Health Donates More Than 250 Winter Items in Support of PathForward

Arlington, VA (May 14, 2024) –
VHC Health, a community-based health system providing medical services to the Washington, DC metropolitan area, announced today the success of February's Winter Warmth Drive in support of Pathforward, a nonprofit organization that provides life-saving supportive services for vulnerable people. The community's overwhelming generosity resulted in a total of 293 items, including coats, sweaters, hoodies, beanies, and more.

"We are deeply moved by the outpouring of support during the Winter Warmth Drive," said Christopher T. Lane, President & CEO of VHC Health. "These donations will undoubtedly make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many in our community."

The Winter Warmth Drive was organized by VHC Health and the Clinical Technicians Committee. All donations will go to PathForward, an organization that provides food, shelter, and additional resources to homeless members of the Arlington community.

“We are so grateful to VHC Health for supporting our efforts to end homelessness in our community,” said Betsy Frantz, President and CEO of PathForward. “The generosity shown at VHC Health is extremely heartwarming, and these donations will provide essential warmth and comfort to those who need it most.”

PathForward’s Winter Warmth Drive is still going: individuals wishing to donate items directly can do so by visiting Pathforward's location at 2020 14th St N, Arlington, VA 22201. Drop-offs are accepted daily.
