    • Request medical appointments
    • View your health summary
    • View test results
    • Request prescription renewals

Is there a fee to use MyVHC?

No. MyVHC is a free service offered to our patients.

How do I sign up?

Request an activation code the next time you come to the hospital or visit one of our clinics for services rendered on or after April 21, 2018. A MyVHC activation code enables you to create your own username and password for your MyVHC Patient Portal.

Can you send me a new activation code as I have lost it, let it expire or did not receive it?

Yes. Call 703.717.7800 for assistance.

How do I choose my user ID and password?

Your user ID must be unique to you and something you can remember. It is not case sensitive and must be a minimum of 6 characters and a maximum of 20 characters. Your password must be at least 8 and no more than 20 characters and must include at least one capital and one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.

What happened to my old patient portal or records that were on my previous patient portal?

If you had an account on the prior VHC Health Patient Portal or the VHC Health Physicians Patient Portal, those portals will still be available until the end of June 2018.

If there is anything you might need that you do not see in your MyVHC patient portal, you may contact our Health Information Management Department at 703.558.6116 to request your medical information.

Your Medical Record

When can I see my test results in MyVHC?

In general, your test results will be available within 1-3 business days after your test is resulted. Within MyVHC you are able to set up notifications so you may be notified via email or text message when you have a new test result available. When you login to MyVHC, go to Settings and select Notifications.

If I send a customer service message, when can I expect a reply?

You will generally receive an answer within 1-3 business days. Please note that MyVHC should not be used for urgent situations. Please contact your physician's office if you have a medical question, if the situation requires immediate attention or dial 911 if it is an emergency.

Who do I contact if I need my full medical record?

If you need more information than is available in your MyVHC or to request a copy of your full medical record, you may contact our Health Information Management Department at 703.558.6116.

MyVHC For My Family

Can I view a family member's health record in MyVHC?

Yes you can. You must first request proxy access which allows a parent (or guardian) to log into the requested MyVHC account. Ask to complete the MyVHC Proxy Access Request Form at your next visit to one of the VHC Health System facilities.

Can I ask questions regarding a family member from my MyVHC account?

No. MyVHC offers direct access to your personal health record so communications about another individual's information would be placed in your health record. This information would not appear in the correct health record and could potentially jeopardize medical care.

Can my spouse and I share one MyVHC account?

No. Due to the sensitive nature of medical information, each adult must have their own MyVHC account.
