VHC Health masking guidelines have changed as of March 23, 2023.
Masking is optional for patients and visitors to VHC Health with some exceptions. This change is in response to the declining rates of COVID-19 cases in our community and the increasing availability and usage of vaccinations.
Masking is mandatory in the following areas:
- Emergency Department (ED) including the ED waiting room
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Dialysis Unit
- Areas and patient rooms requiring droplet, droplet enhanced and airborne precautions
- Locations where masking is required to maintain a sterile environment per unit policy
Masks will continue to be available at all entrances.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and adjust our policies as needed to adhere to guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health authorities to ensure the health and safety of everyone within our community.
