Other Volunteer Services
The Volunteer Program at Virginia Hospital Center has a place for everyone. You may be retired, involved in your career, a stay at home parent, male or female. Our Hospital has varied opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds. Volunteers work in many different areas within our healthcare system.
The Volunteer Services Group consists of students and adults who assist staff with direct patient care including:
- Inpatient Hospital Units
- Women & Infant Health
- Outpatient Services
- GI Unit
- Center for Outpatient Surgery
- Pre-Op Screening
- Outpatient Clinic
- Outpatient Pharmacy
- Radiology
- Rehabilitation
Who can volunteer at Virginia Hospital Center?
We welcome anyone age 16 and up who wishes to donate their time on a regular basis.
What kind of work will I do?
The needs of the Hospital are always considered first, but we make every attempt to offer a broad range of opportunities. After you have completed your application, we will discuss specific opportunities and responsibilities during your interview process. If there is something specific that you would like to do, please ask.
How much time must I give?
We ask for a minimum commitment of four hours a week, one day a week for at least six months duration. Beyond that, it is up to you. There are many needs for your energy and talents.
How do I sign up?
To sign up for Volunteer Services, please:
- Download, print out and complete following documents
- You may submit the application, agreement and below required documents by e-mail to: volunteerservices@vhchealth.org
- Copy of vaccination records (must include MMR, Chicken pox – Varicella, TB test – skin or blood test)
- Copy of COVID-19 vaccine card
